The hot sun bounces off my pale white skin:
Its reflection blinding those rude pilots
Cutting the sky with silver metal noise.
The harshness of the mating of the ducks
Wakes her leaning, tea towel covered, head:
Friend's Mother's sunshade does not keep out noise.
She is afraid of birds and runs inside -
She is afraid, even, of the ducklings.
The day drifts and we float away to sleep:
We are fading in to and out of time
As the shadows jump towards our faces
Trying to stop the increasing sunburn.
As beautiful as today is, hear this:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines...
